A basket of our fine novelty yarns, always available to knit alone or carry along with your favorite project to add a little shimmer!

The gilded antique Singer treadle sewing machine at Janet Kemp’s can be seen in the corner of the studio alongside the Fairy Fountain.  A working machine, it has a date of 1889 on some parts.. Many of us fondly recall our grandmothers and even our mothers sewing our clothing on similar machines, and some even recall using them ourselves.
Elegant Fiberist Janet herself enjoys assisting all who enter her shop in planning their projects, from design to implementation.  She loves seeing the finished project as well!
From the time you enter the door to Janet Kemp’s, you’re in a welcoming, warm and inviting place.  This is the place to allow the fast pace of the rest of the world go by while you allow yourself and your life to slow down, just for awhile, so you can plan and select some wonderful fibers to make a beautiful heirloom for a wonderful person.  Perhaps that wonderful person is you.
